What I Do
Who I Am

My Profile

I began my career as a hairdresser in 1984 and served my apprenticeship with a seasoned and experienced hairdresser at Allen Edwards Salon in Woodland Hills. I learned and grew by watching and emulating my mentor, and by attending the many classes and seminars offered by Allen Edwards. I had already begun to develop a sense of style and flair for hair design and color treatment as I started building my own clientele at Allen Edwards Salon.

In 1989, I moved to Benjamin Jay Salon in Woodland Hills. I had developed a strong aptitude for all types of demensional and corrective color application which continued to grow with Benjamin Jay.

I made a decision in 1992, to begin sharing the experience and expertise I had acquired by teaching part time in the Comsotology Department at the West Valley Occupational Center and then at the Marinello School in Simi Valley. Teaching was an enriching experience in which I enjoyed sharing my skills with up-and-coming hairdressers, and at the same time continued to develop as a hairdresser myself.

In 1995, I made the very difficult decision to discontinue teaching and go back to salon work full-time. I moved to Michael Joseph Furie Salon where I have been ever since.
